Helping people start businesses since 2001
Four offices in Southern California, filings in all 50 states, and a straightforward way of working: we tell you what you need, what it costs, and then we file it.
Since 2001
A filing office, not a website
California New Business Bureau opened in 2001 to do one thing well: make starting a business as simple, fast and inexpensive as possible for people who do not have a lawyer on retainer or a corporate services budget.
The name says California because that is where we started and where our offices are. The work is no longer limited to it — we form LLCs and corporations in all 50 states, and a growing share of our clients have never set foot in the office. Entity filings go to a state agency, so where you are matters far less than most people assume.
In the years since, that has meant sitting down with thousands of Californians — contractors, mechanics, caterers, salon owners, landscapers, truckers, family businesses — and translating a genuinely confusing system into a short list of things to do this week. We are not a portal that emails you a PDF. You come in, you sit down, and you leave knowing what you need, what it costs and when it will be done.
The Santa Ana office serves Orange County from downtown Santa Ana, minutes from the county offices where most of this paperwork is recorded. Christian Vasquez runs it, and most of our work comes from people sent by someone we helped before.

How we work
We explain before we file
You should understand what you are signing and what each fee is for. If you leave confused, we did not do our job.
We tell you what you do not need
Plenty of new owners are sold filings their business will never use. If a DBA is enough for you, we will say so rather than upsell an LLC.
No surprise fees
Government fees and our fees are quoted separately and up front. Government fees go to the agency, not to us.
Bilingual by default
Atendemos en español todos los días. Nobody should have to bring a translator to start a business.
We finish the job
The county filing, the newspaper publication, the proof of publication, the Statement of Information — all of it, not just the fun part.
We are here next year too
Renewals, amendments, adding partners, closing down. Same office, same people.

Statewide
Four California offices
We file nationwide, but the offices are all in Southern California. This site is run by the Santa Ana office, which serves Orange County and much of Los Angeles County. California New Business Bureau also operates offices in Norwalk, San Bernardino and Van Nuys — the Norwalk office is often the closer one for Los Angeles County clients.

Important: California New Business Bureau is a private document preparation and business filing service. We are not a government agency and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any Secretary of State, the IRS, or any other government body. We are not a law firm or a CPA firm, we do not provide legal or tax advice, and we do not represent you before any agency. Government filing fees are set by the agencies and are separate from our service fees. Self-filing directly with the agency is always an option and forms are available from the agencies at their published fees.
